Our Authentic Japanese Matcha and Sencha Offering Our matcha is sourced directly from organic farms in the Uji and Kagoshima regions of Japan. Family-owned partner farms fuse traditional and modern techniques to cultivate leaves brimming with flavor and nutrients.

We rigorously test our products at the farms and by third-party laboratories to ensure the highest quality and integrity. Less than 1% of Japanese tea farms are certified organic, so we've carefully formed partnerships to supply the best organic matcha.

Our matcha is shade-grown for 3-4 weeks prior to harvest to boost nutrient content. The leaves are selectively picked, with stems and veins removed to improve texture and taste. They are then stone-ground into an ultra-fine powder, keeping the delicate nutrients intact. The powder is carefully packed into air-tight, high-grade packaging to prevent oxidation from air and UV light.

Ceremonial vs. Culinary Matcha Ceremonial grade matcha is from the first harvest leaves, with a smoother flavor suitable for traditional preparation as a tea (just mixed with hot water and whisked). Culinary grade matcha is from later harvest tea leaves, with a bolder flavor meant for mixing into recipes as an ingredient. Both are brimming with healthy tea antioxidants.
